Digital Signature / Passport Scan from Feratel

How does the “Digital Signature / Passport Scan” feature from Feratel work?
Please be aware that this feature is a paid module from Feratel and must be ordered, paid for, and activated. There are no additional costs on the part of the room management software.

The digital signature with travel document scanning offers many advantages:

The guest can fill in and transmit their data simply by photographing their travel document. The image is analyzed, and details such as name, date of birth, etc. are automatically filled in.

Thanks to the digital signature, the guest can sign before arrival, eliminating waiting times at check-in, as no signature is required on site.

Hosts no longer need to manage guest registration forms; everything is stored securely in digital form.

The optimized check-in process reduces workload and time. Even if only one minute is saved each time, a medium-sized hotel can save several hours per month.

To use the travel document scan with digital signature, go to the guest registration form settings:

Settings/Guest Registration

In the Feratel interface, activate the option “Fast Check-In.”
Then enter the link you received from Feratel in the field “Fast Check-In Link.”

You can now send the link for the online check-in directly via email from ZimmerSoftware. Go to Settings/Templates and select the desired template. Insert the mail merge field {Guest Registration Form – Online Check-In Link} into your text. The link will lead directly to the online check-in page from Feratel.

Every night, all prepared guest registration forms will then be downloaded from Feratel.

If you open the detail view of the guest registration form of a booking and this form has not yet been transferred, a list of all available guest registration forms matching the arrival and departure dates will appear at the top.

Click the appropriate entry to import the data.

The guest registration form can then be reported to Feratel as usual via “Transmit Guest Registration”
